Food Safety and Hygiene

Food safety and hygiene standards are two crucial elements in Sesame Club; thus, our staff is trained to meet the following:

  1. Safe Personal Hygiene:
    • All staff washes hands before handling food.
    • Gloves are used for any handling of food.
    • Staff maintains high standards of personal hygiene at all times.
    • Hot drinks are consumed only in the break room, away from areas that kids are around.
    • All bins are emptied regularly.
    • All kitchen equipment and tools are washed with hot water and sanitized regularly.

  2. Safe cleaning and maintenance:
    • Cleaning is carried out thoroughly and staff uses appropriate equipment 
    • and utensils.
    • Staff complies with the cleaning schedule and cleaning methods.
    • Suitable cleaning equipment, materials, sanitizers and disinfections are provided to ensure a high level of cleanliness.
    • Food and hand contact surfaces are cleaned and disinfected regularly as appropriate.
    • All gas and electrical equipment conforms to safety requirements and are regularly checked. 
    • All kitchen towels are washed and sanitized on a daily basis.
